Hi, I noticed your great post today on the news item "Gas prices drive interest in CNG". My post = We all need to be pushing for the use of abundant, CLEAN and for now cheap American Natural Gas in the forms of CNG or LNG as the primary alternative to ALL oil based fuels. I wrote on the forum on hybrids----Nomad228, so if you paid an average of $2 a gallon for gas, (you didn't) and got 30 mpg (you didn't)(http://autos.aol.com/cars-Chevrolet-S_10-1999-LS__4x4_Extended_Cab_6_ft._box/overview/) you would be correct. But the numbers don't add up unless you drove a limited amount during that time. I have a 2010 Prius (bought Aug. 2009) with 72,000 miles on it and have averaged Winter, Summer, Spring, and Fall, just under 50mpg during that time, manually computed on actual gas used. During the late Spring, Summer, and Fall, I average over 54mpg. I get over 500 miles a tank full (11.9 gallons) which normally last me 1 (one) week. Anyone that tries a hybrid and honestly compares cost, maintenance, mpg, etc; will buy another hybrid when the time comes
